To The Oilers Goes Chris VandeVelde

Announced this morning, the Edmonton Oilers have recalled Chris VandeVelde. And it was the obvious choice. After Mark Arcobello played his one and only game, the Oilers switched their attention to a center with a different set of skills. CVV, a common callup throughout the years, gives you more defensive skills than Arcobello with a surprising scoring touch. Anton Lander, with a confirmed broken foot, will miss roughly four weeks. In comes Chris, who is capable of penalty killing, face off winning, and scoring fits the bill moreso than Marko. I’m quite curious to see where Chris plays on Saturday afternoon when the Oilers face the Red Wings.
